This short story is from my Descending Into Madness Series. Which means it is based on a dream I had within the past 20 years. I added bits and pieces to help the story flow as well as help convey the overall message, twists, or unique aspects. Due to the fact these short stories (between 23 - 28 pages) were based on dreams, there will be dreamlike plots, as well as imaginary leaps. . I have done my best to research and ground said leaps in facts within various areas such as Science, Religion, Magic/Magik (mostly Dark Age beliefs, Dungeon & Dragons manuals, or Mythology), Astronomy, Psychology (Pavlov, Jung, H. Lecter), Cartography, Technology (sometimes dated to the era of the story), Cooking, Architecture, to name a few. . Often there were personal relationships that were featured in my dreams; some that ended really badly, others continue tentatively, and there will be elements of premonitions. Unlike the majority of other stories, some of the names in my stories are the names of the people from my life (Yes, I have their permission), those I don't have permission from had their names changed. Real and fake names are mixed into the stories; whereas for the Introductions, nicknames were used to give them thanks as these few first stories come out. . All that being said, these are short stories designed to enjoy on a mental break while at lunch, waiting for a ride, out for a day on your own, or just when you have a little time alone.
