English Summary: Volume QS 6 forms the second part of the final publication on the archeological site of the royal palace of Qatna in western Syria. In this volume the architecture, stratigraphy, ceramics and artifacts of the rooms of the western central area of the royal palace are described in great detail. The western central area includes Hall C and the adjoining rooms, as well as the monumental doorway, the so-called Porte Royale, which leads from Hall C to the eastern part of the palace's representative wing. The large banqueting and meeting Hall C, with its four interior pillars, has a surface area of around 38 x 38 meters and is the largest known covered Bronze Age area in the Ancient Near East. In this volume the archeological remains, including the stratigraphic sections and ceramics, are presented separately according to phases of occupation. These include the phases of occupation of the palace during the Middle and Late Bronze Age as well as pre- and post-palace occupation phases during the Early Bronze and Iron Ages. The volume thus provides us with a comprehensive picture of all of the archeological remains and features from this important area of the royal palace of Qatna.
