Most stories involve boring mundane attributes of life from everyday people. In this book, that type of person is used to make an intricate story of awesome proportions. It's a great book that helps show that even the mundane can be made to accept something more magical.

Xanth joins the computer age!
Devoted Xanth fans will enjoy this new twist on adventures in punland. Newcomers to this world of magic and humor will catch on quickly to the many wonders of Xanth, and its welcome relief from the boredom and bothers of our day to day lives...here in dreary Mundania.
Anthony brings Xanth a breath of fresh air and keeps things interesting by involving the beloved characters in a "computer game" created by the demons to settle their lofty disputes. Meanwhile we mere mortals are watching the players traipse through their adventures completely unaware that more than winning the prize is at stake.
As usual, the puns are sometimes goaningly bad, and other times quite puzzlesome to figure out - Half the fun! This book is pure Xanth entertainment, with the usual morals woven in just to keep us humble.
Ogres, dragons, demons, elves and magic galore are in store from page one. With a goal to be attained, a little romance, some light hearted lechery, and a string of worldly connection running throughout the book, Demons Don't Dream is a winner. Well done, Piers!
