"The predominant style that you hear in the score is Pakistani Sufi devotional (Qawwali) chanting...," writes composer and music supervisor David Robbins of the recordings that make up his score for Dead Man Walking. Accordingly, the predominant performer is singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The score album replicates two duets between Khan and Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder from the Dead Man Walking: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture album, but the versions heard here are longer. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
