Von diesem Grundsatze ausgehend finden wir ohne M???he den Gesichtspunkt, aus welchem wir Brant' s Narren schiff der Form und dem inhalt nach, zu beurtheilen haha. In ersterer Hinsicht hat es vor den iibrigen poetischen Wer ken seiner Zeit wohl wenig Ausgezeichnetes voraus; es ist nicht merklich dafs in demselben die Sprache veredelt die Diktion vervollkommnet, der Periodenbau fliel'sender gemacht, die rhythmische Cadens harmonischer geworden w???re; es fehlt also hier jene mochtige Kraft des Genius welche auf die verschiedenen Formen eines Idionls eine dieselben nicht nur behemchende sondern auch bedeutend modificirendn Gewalt auszu???ben pflegt, und schon dem Material des Ge dankenausdrucks den unverwischbnen Sternpel grei'ser geisti ger Individualit???t aufzudriicken vermag.
