Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Politik, Majorit???ten, Minorit???ten, Note: 1,7, Freie Universit???t Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Modell der deliberativen Demokratie, welches in den 80er Jahren aufkam, wurde in der Vergangenheit in vielen Punkten auf Grund seines basisdemokratischen Charakters kritisiert und als idealistisch und nicht anwendbar abgestempelt. In Deutschland wurde das Modell der deliberativen Demokratie insbesondere von dem renommierten Philosophen Habermas in die Forschung eingebracht. Bei den internationalen Vertretern und Vertreterinnen deliberativer Demokratie sind unter anderem James S Fishkin und Seyla Benhabib von gro???er Bedeutung. Der wohl bedeutendste Ansatz bei der Entwicklung der deliberativen Demokratie ist hierbei jedoch vermutlich J???rgen Habermas zuzuschreiben (vgl. Kost 2008: 30). Das Modell der deliberativen Demokratie entspricht dem von vielen B???rgern ge???u???erten Wunsch nach mehr Mitbestimmung und einer verst???rkten Einbeziehung der ???ffentlichkeit in politische Entscheidungen. Ein stetig wachsendes Unbehagen dar???ber wie etablierte Parteien Entscheidungen treffen, ohne dabei die Bev???lkerung einzubeziehen, zeigt sich in Deutschland nicht nur an Ereignissen wie Stuttgart 21.
