I use this Bible version regularly and order it for friends often. As a student of the Bible x 50 years who has sat under pastors who have researched the context of passages historically and what was going on around the time and situations which allows a reader to understand the passage as the initial heaters would have heard it, this chronological arrangement with Dr. Smith�s passages printed in grey, sum up most of what I have learned over these years. It makes it easy to understand what the passage is saying. It is critical in studying the Bible to find out how the initial hearers understood what the Lord was trying to get over to the people, THEN apply it to similar situations today, not the other way around.
