I thought I was receiving a 2006 edition but the version I received was published in 2000, & the information was even dated for that time frame. Overviews were useful, but well known treatments were either glossed over or simply not mentioned. Example: section on detox from etoh dependence did not even list chlordiazepoxide, which continues to be the first choice of many addiction professionals. Also, the section on treatment for borderline personality disorder does not even mention dialectical behavior therapy. Overall, useful only as a snapshot of the incomplete & even erroneous information provided in some psychiatry training programs.
