Hunter has given America a gift, a gift of understanding. He has written a comprehensive and balanced review of America's culture war, with great detail and insightful analysis of where we are and how we got here. It is an amazing accomplishment.
Hunter has helped me understand better the actors, the themes and my own role as a participant in the Culture War. Though dialogue across the barricades is difficult, with a book like this at least one has an idea of where the "Other" is coming from. Maybe it can help stimulate the communication from whence can come reconciliation, or at least some measure of tolerance.
