I'd seen Mr. Guilaroff's name many times in the credits of classic movies, and marveled at the beauty and creativity of his hair creations for the stars. This book was very readable and informative, and I enjoyed learning some of the background of moviemaking. His experiences with well-known actresses and studio executives made for great reading. The fact that Mr. Guilaroff was a true gentleman came through in this work--he never stooped to snide gossip. I only wish the book had been longer, and that he had covered even more territory. I recommend this book to any classic film devotee.
