an excellent resource but buyer beware
This book has recently gotten a fair amount of publicity and is much in demand; as a result, prices for used copies have skyrocketed. It's an excellent resource for anyone who wants to crochet lace (especially shawls). The copy I bought turned out NOT to be intact. About five pages had been ripped out of the binding. Fortunately they were in the stitch dictionary section and NOT the shawl construction section, which to my mind is more critical as I already own a number of crochet stitch dictionaries, but it was still a rude shock considering what I had paid for the book.
