The book is interesting and entertaining - but it helps if you are familiar with London and its criminal/colorful past. Perhaps you have seen blue plaques on buildings which commemorate famous people who one lived within? The Black Plaque tour celebrates the infamous/shady/intemperate citizens of London. It is even fun ready for criminal interest. The authors did a good job of researching. Fun for armchair reading too!
