This is a rather slow paced tale. An uncle and neice share a romance and Mary, one of the leads appears to be rather dumb. She knows Vlad is bad news and she beleives the village tales about him. She has seen the evil and she stays on, because her husband does not beleive her. Most women would pick up their bags and go back home to england. Especially since she's having a baby, a vampire invested villiage is not the place for a child.
