One simply cannot exist without the other. These facts in particular present an intriguing area of study. Has God's law always existed? Knowing that the old covenant is the Ten Commandments, did any of them come into existence when God spoke these words at Mount Sinai, or were they merely borrowed to re-emphasize the need to obey something that already existed? In this volume, we continue searching for the answers to these questions. Using nothing but the Bible as our guide and permitting it to explain itself, we conclude this portion of our studies by addressing the remaining seven commandments. However, if we are to succeed in our quest, we must understand what each commandment truly means according to God, not according to us. What we will discover in the process is nothing less than a profound revelation of his holy character. The truths that we will uncover from Scripture will startle the conscience and awaken us to the humbling realization of our genuine need for a Savior.
