Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as stated on copyright page, inscribed, signed and dated by the author on the front end-paper along with brief unrelated notes on two of the end-papers, the author/journalist was known for winning the only Pulitzer Prize for Newspaper History with Minna Lewinson in 1918, book is faded and scuffed on the spine, mild wear at the corners also, the binding is tight and the contents are fine, the rear flap of the jacket is glued to the book, some mild foxing on the rear panel, a small surface-bruise on the front panel obscuring a small portion of the "C" in the title and a vertical crease down the length of the front panel, also, the front flap is misfolded but still fits tightly on the book, the original price (3.00) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, a flawed but presentable copy; Signed by Author.
