It also meant an influx of visitors each summer as people from across the country flocked to the beautiful Cornish beaches.Today, many of the trades that were once commonplace in Cornwall are now long gone and, for many, the area is a place for holidays featuring beautiful beaches and coastal walks. Places like Newquay attract many tourists and surfers and Fistral Beach hosts regular competitions.
