Some foxing throughout and on edges, cover little faded and soiled, and worn at corners and spine, but generally a VG tight copy. Hydropathy, founded by a Silesian peasant named Vincenz Preissnitz (1799-1851) became popular between 1820 and 1860. The system had three treatments: bathing, application by cloths or pouring to particular parts of the body, and internal cleansing by drinking or enemas.
