Consuming Nature is a coffee table book which explains the horror of the bushmeat trade and the ecological damage that logging has brought to the Congo Basin. It opens up a world which very few people will ever see.
A lot of research went into this book and the photographs, although some of them shocking are excellent in showing the reader the dangers faced by the wildlife. The Great Apes of Africa are under threat and the graphic photographs make sure that the reader sits up and take note.
An excellent book with amazing photographs, well written and a must read for those interested in wildlife and conservation.
