Excellent History
This is Volume I of a two volume set and represents an excellent attempt to explain how Conrail came to be. It succeeds very well at its aim and along with the second volume gives an incisive, period look at the railroad that was Conrail. May be quite difficult to locate these volumes, but well-worth the effort.
