Steele goes through the grueling training to become a nurse. He meets many unusual people: patients, friends, and eventually, a lover. Quite realistic, but with humor too. Mixture of true hospital story and romantic fantasy. It ends at the onset of the AIDS epidemic. I gave it a "B+."
