I studied this book from my University´s library in 1980 to base my extensive programming experience with Algol - that was the last year the great B6700 was working there before to be replaced. I felt in love for this computer architecture, one of the biggest technological breakthru IMO.
Even you have no "sentimental" bond with B5500 architecture I recomend this book just to know one of the brightest solution for computer systems.
