ACT JAN. 15, 1903, e. 189. An Act to Provide Rebate of Duties on Coal, and for Other Purposes. (32 Stat. 773.) Rebate of duties on coal for one year. Be it enacted, &c., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and required to make full rebate of duties imposed by law on all coal of every form and description imported into the United States from foreign countries for the period of one year from and after the passage of this Act. Act Jan. 15, 1903, c. 189, 1, 32 Stat. 773. The duties on coal are prescribed bv paragraph 415 of the Tariff of 1897, Act July 24, 1897, c. 11, 1, Comp. St. 1901, p. 1674. Tariff Act of July 24, 1897, c. 11, 1, par. 415, not to be construed to authorize any duty on anthracite coal. Sec. 2. That the provisions of paragraph four hundred and fifteen of the tariff Act of July twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred and ninety seven, shall not hereafter be construed to authorize the imposition of any duty upon anthracite coal.
