Compendium was such a great summer read! I love science fiction and fantasy and this was the perfect combination of the two. To be honest, it was a bit hard to get into, but definitely caught my interest enough to keep me reading. Alia Luria did a great job of explaining all the confusing and complicated parts of the story which is very hard when the story is so intricate. The world created was so realistic and beautiful, I didn't want to leave when the book was over. Each different area was individual but contributed so well to the world as a whole. Also, the characters were unique and original. Each person was a relatable individual on their own and, just like the world they live in, worked so well in relation to each other. I definitely recommend this book!
