Phil Hoysradt and Spencer Beebe literally built the Tahiti ketch on a beach in Puntarenas Costa Rica beginning in 1969 until they set sail westward in 1971. Ultimately the Peregin Took made it back to Gloucester Mass after traveling around the world. This book documents the journey of a lifetime from the boat building challenges in Central America to traveling the high seas westward to Oceania, Australia, the Middle East, Mediterranean and finally to the USA.
