i found the story of Cymbra and Wolf very beautiful! it was the first book i read about Vikings! i liked the character of Cymbra who was very brave and met Wolf head-on with what she believed in but also had the wisdom to appreciate that the norse were also different and tried to understand their ways. I enjoyed reading about Hawk and kyrsta. The setting is almost real in that although they eventually fall in love, they both were sceptical about how their relationship would turn out. Loved the bit about Kyrsta masquerading as a maid! i have read both books more than 3 three times now!!
