Clive Barker doesn't let up in this one. It's a well-written ghost story that was executed in a way that doesn't at all drag. The setting is fantastic, the characters keep you interested. I wouldn't call it his best, but it's worth a read, especially if you're a fan of his. I really don't think it deserves the nasty review about how disgusting it is down below. If you're not a fan of provocative horror, get away from Clive Barker, period. How much it produces a reaction of revulsion in the faint of heart shouldn't at all reflect on how good the book is, and yes, this one is pretty revolting.

Disgusting...
I LOVE ghost stories and mystery... and who doesn't love a little Hollywood in the mix. I had high hopes for this book... boy, was I disappointed. To be exact, I was grossed out... and disturbed by the things I was reading and quit. I just could not subject myself to the deviance of the book -- and believe me, I am no angel... but there is so much sex and porn and the images in my head were too disturbing to continue. So, this book disgusted me.
