A must for numismatists
This little pamphlet, by the former Chief Engineer & Superintendant of the Royal Mint, covers in a little space & with copious illustrations the technique of coin production, its historical development, and how it is reflected in the finished piece. This is both a valuable reference and quite illuminating, despite its briefness. Unless you have the good fortune to encounter one of the few copies ever printed of the same author's "Coinmaking", the material is something you will scarcely encounter elsewhere. Definitely not something a student of the art of coinage can afford to ignore.
