We landed at Dover, after a very short passage, and arrived at the Clarendon hotel at about five in the afternoon, and having dined excellently well, we proceeded, at my earnest request, to Covent Garden theatre. The house was crowded, we were obliged to sit in the upper boxes. The salle de spectacle is both splendid and neat, though much inferior in all respects to San Carlos.
