Die Chronik dokumentiert das Ineinandergreifen der die Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Auswertung der die vier geplanten Moskauer Schauprozesse begleitenden Propagandakampagnen in der zentralen und lokalen Presse, beleuchtet die auf höchster Ebene abgestimmte Fabrikation der Prozeßberichte und rekonstruiert die für die Massenverhaftungen und die Folgeprozesse in der Provinz relevante Signalfunktion der drei durchgeführten Moskauer Prozesse.
