As the Christmas Songbook title suggests, this one is a bit more oriented toward American popular repertoire than the earlier ones, although there are still several traditional carols. These are placed as slow interludes, letting the vocal flights and jazzy elaborations settle down for a minute to luscious straight harmonies.
