Useful Anatomy of PRC Intelligence
Efftimiades provides a useful review of the intelligence establishment in the People's Republic of China (PRC). His description of the locations of many of the "secret" ministries is useful, and can be coordinated with Google Earth to get a satellite view. However, due to the massive construction for the Olympics, a few of the locations have disappeared. Overall, this relatively brief book is a useful review of Chinese intelligence. The key to Efftimiades' approach is to assume that all bureaucracies face similar types of problems. In this way, he intuitively is able to discern much insight that otherwise would not be visible to the untrained eye.
