This study aims at analysing the chosen theme to all intents and purposes, yet emphasizing the extent of harmonization between national rules and EU legislation. The study is based on the expertise in human rights field, national and European regulations and also on a few of published works within the field. Union tools used for achieving its objectives intended, among other things, to encourage legislative reform for the promotion and protection of the rights of the child, in particular by: encouraging and supporting for law-making and of changes in national legislation to ensure its compatibility with the corresponding international norms and standards in the field of children's rights, in particular the Convention on the rights of the child and the Optional Protocols thereto and encouraging and supporting the enlargement of capacity of law enforcement agencies to investigate violations of the rights of children and developing procedures tailored to the needs of the child to investigate and track complaints about children's rights.
