Status--Common winter visitant almost everywhere west of the Sierras, south to San Diego. 330 (558) Zonotrichia albicollis (Gmelin) Swainson. White-throated Sparrow. Status--Rather rare winter visitant west of the Sierras; thirteen specimens recorded, from Santa Rosa and Stockton south to Los Angeles. 331 (559a) Spizella monticola ochracea Brewster.
