Although I did not have the oppurtunity to read the entire book, I was impressed with the candid and original writing style of the author, Parker Tyler. He has managed to beautifully fuse together Chaplin's life with his work. In reality the two were actually interwoven. I saw the movie, Chaplin, where Robert Downey Jr. gave an exceptional performance, which caused me to rediscover Chaplin, and eventually obtain this book. It is worth reading, and keeping in your personal library.
