Very Good. 8vo, dark blue cloth gilt, very good, minor wear, inscribed by author and signed. 143 pp long poem on Egyptian themes and mysticism. Leighton (1833-1911) succeeded his father in running a glass factory in Wheeling, WV starting in 1867. By 1879 Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. was one of the largest glass factories in the USA and was making fine cut and engraved lead crystal, as well as an extensive range of pressed glass using the soda-lime formula developed by Leighton, Sr. Leighton, Jr. published a number of books that show influences of the Pre-Raphaelites and William Morris's circle. Rare in commerce, especially signed.
