This book outlines strategies to prepare metal complexes with chelating, template-centered bis-phosphine ligands by self-assembly of simple hard and soft metal complex precursors with bi-functional phosphine-catecholate ligands in a single synthetic step. The choice of template of different size and coordination number permits to adjust the bite angle of the chelating bis-phosphine unit in a predictable manner. Chirality in chelate complexes has been demonstrated in simple and excellent manner. This book aims at an audience of advanced students, experts and scientists working in catalysis via self-assembly, bimetallic complexes, hard-soft acid-base complexes and ligand designing.
