A postcard postmarked Oct 29, 1993 sent to buyer [Benj Bird Moore] stating where and when he may pick up his copy [for complete text see photos] of the book is laid in. Pages [463] clean, unmarked, binding sound, very slight lean to spine. Brown leatherette boards, clean, bright gilt decorations and lettering, in fine condition. Illustrated throughout with B&W photographs, maps and drawings. Small area at top of page edges with mild dust spotting. The author's personal memories from his early years in Africa, son of American missionaries in Sierra Leone, but a history, too, of America and the world throughout much of the 20th Century.
