Part of Alain Daniélou's grand vision (though not part of the Anthology of World Music series), this album performs well at preserving some of the musical traditions of Cambodia with recordings circa 1968. The pinpeat string ensemble is represented with a number of tracks by Chhuon and his Siemreap-Angkor shadow theater ensemble.
