This two-fer from the great Harry Belafonte offers up a pair of career-defining long-players from the late 1950s. 1956's iconic Calypso provided the world (and nearly every stadium-bound sporting event) with "Day-O (Banana Boat Song)," and became the first album to sell over a million copies, while the following year's Belafonte Sings of the Caribbean, his second collection of songs from the West Indies, included the hits "Love, Love Alone" and "Island in the Sun," the latter of which appeared in the film of the same name. ...
