Dense and pithy view into calculus
Yipes! This book may be a great reference for people who know calculus but for me, just learning? It's a struggle and a challenge. It's sparse on the text -- example problems frequently skip steps or lack descriptions of what happened between step "n" and "n + 1". It suffers from a lack of illustrations and sometimes it's difficult to imagine the problem. And perhaps most frustrating of all to a beginner like me -- problems at the end of each chapter are randomly tricky! In other words, problem #3 can be harder than problem #28 -- it's hard to feel like I'm building on past understanding.
