If you want to know what I mean with the "programmer's bible" please read my review on "The C Programming Language (ANSI Edition)". Well, with that said you might ask my why I say it's the perfect companion to the "bible". While the "bible" teaches you C this book also teaches you some techniques, tricks and gives you some excellent practical examples. Stephen Prata knows really much about what it is to be a programmer and wants to teach you what you should do on certain situations... and he does that very well. The book might seem big, but every bit is useful. Some people even think it's a better book to start with than the "bible". Conclusion: It's an absolute "must".
