Hopkins also was in an abusive relationship that lasted longer than it should have. Her relationship and her father inspired her to write the book Burned.
Overall, Burned is an amazing book that takes you to a whole new world. A world where no one cares and one must vent for themselves in order to survive; A world where one feels lost, confused, and alone with no one to reach out to; But also a world where true love and hope exist. Although my life is not nearly as difficult as Pattyn?s, I related to her confusion and struggles of growing up. I highly recommend this book to young adults who need inspiration and strength. It is very easy to read and has many suspenseful and unexpected twist that all readers will love.
