I love Jonathan Stroud, he is a wonderful writer. But i would not judge him by this book. I kinda got the point of the story, but i just didn't get it. It just seemed like a cheap knock-off of Eragon. I think he was trying TOO hard to write this book, and it didn't turn out to well. I liked the story, just not the writing style.

I read this book in one day, Jonathan Stroud is a great author, I just didn't care for the way it ended.
