Seller's Description:
Dust Jacket Included. Square 4to. 28x27cm, 431p., with 511 illustrations (including 48 colourplates), notes, bibliography, index, green cloth with gilt titles, a finecopy in fine jacket. (agc).
Even though it was published almost 40 years ago, this book with its large, clear photos of the work of most of the great 19th and early 20th century American sculptors, remains an important tool for art historians, collectors, and others. My city library hasn't had it for years - they never replaced a stolen copy. It's a valuable addition to my personal art library, and I may buy another one to give to the main library here.
