The fourth section covers specimen pathology, including evaluation of gross specimen, preparation of tissue, common problems and their solutions, and size correlations. The next part examines the pathology of benign, borderline, and malignant lesions. The final section presents cases that demonstrate radiographic-pathologic correlations for a variety of breast abnormalities, including spiculated mass or area; nodular (indeterminate) mass; benign-appearing mass; mass with calcification; calcification without mass; and asymmetric density.
