Published to accompany the first major retrosepctive of Flack's work, both as a painter and as a sculptor of larger-than-lifesized bronzes, depicting goddess figures. Latterly best known for her photorealist still lifes, she was also an Abstract Expressionist in her earlier career, and produced Photojournalist portraits in the 1950s and 1960s.
