Ian Ribbons. F in F- jacket. F/F-. 8vo. original red cloth (a trifle rubbed, else clean & bright throughout) in dustwrapper (slightly rubbd & creased); pp. [vi (last blank)], 178, with illustrations. A near fine copy. The second volume in the Carey Family series, this one set in France at the Battle of Crecy in the Hundred Years War (1343-1346).
An amazing book, written by a man who saw action in WWII. The story rocks, and the research makes it feel real. My only quibble is that he pictures unarmoured combat revolving around sword and dagger, and even has his hero lunge. But that's me just being nitpicky.
Oh, and the book from this particular vendor arrived in good condition, on time etc etc.
