Decorated in gilt on spine, front cover and along the internal edge (dentelles) with all edges gilt. Binding by Ogle. Bookplate of Henry McCall and David Murray on the front pastedown. Press cuttings on the front endpaper about the burial place of the Earl of Bothwell. Faint rubbing at corner tips and spine ends, otherwise a pleasing VG+ copy.
