Appropriately enough, the original soundtrack to Bossa Nova mixes classic bossa nova by Antonio Carlos Jobim with an original score by Eumir Deodato of the fusion group Deodato. "Wave," "The Girl From Ipanema," "Corcovado," "Aguas de Marco," and "Inutil Paisagem" are some of the Jobim standards included on this sophisticated and romantic soundtrack. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi

Tracks 1-4, 12, 14 are beautiful modern arrangements of A.C. Jobim's songs. Tracks 13 and 15 are Eumir Deodato's instrumental themes. And tracks 5-11 are the original recordings taken from Jobim's albums of 1960's. They are fantastic as well, but every bossa nova fan has got them all in his collection already. There was so many other nice tunes in the movie! Why not taking them for this edition? For example, I'd love to hear that song named 'Preciso dizer que te amo' by Cazuzo & Bebel Gilberto that sounds for a few seconds during one of romantic scenes.
