This is a wonderful book to own and give as a gift. It contains a collection of true stories of great heroism, courage, overcoming adversity, empathy and more. The Book of Virtues should be manatory reading for all parents of small children, high schoolers, and everyone in general. If more people in the world would read this there would be less fighting and peace. Some stories are old ones that are well worth re-reading, some are new. This was the best $.99 (yes,just $.99) I have ever spent in my life.

Wonderful Character Study
I have found great merit in the sections of this book as character development/study with my daughters. Not only are the selections wonderful to have available as general reading, but such important messages and truths.
I recommend this to anyone with young children as a read-aloud, and each section is broken into segments of increasing reading difficulty for your readers.
Several entries are perfect for copywork, and integrating into further study or research.

Great stories to teach virtues!
We use this book in our homeschool to talk about the kinds of virtues we want to develop in our kids. It has lots of great stories that I remember as a child.
